Released in 1991 on We Can't Dance, this gentle ballad showed Genesis moving toward a softer, more intimate sound. The album was recorded at The Farm in Surrey between March and September 1991.
Written by Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford, the song later became the album's third single in 1992, reaching No. 16 in the UK and No. 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Its restrained arrangement and emotional vocal gave the song a warmth that contrasted with some of Genesis's bigger productions. Decades later, it remains one of the band's most tender moments.
